About KUMUN 2025
Discover the strategic collaboration behind Nepal's premier Model United Nations conference
Strategic Collaboration
KU-MUN 2025 is organized through a strategic collaboration between Youth for Change – Kathmandu University (YFC-KU) and the Kathmandu University Students’ Community for Leadership and Professional Development (KULPD). Together, they combine academic rigour, procedural expertise, outreach capacity, and volunteer management to deliver a smooth, educational, and well-run conference.
Why This Partnership?
KULPD brings subject-matter expertise: drafting background guides, advising on the Rules of Procedure (ROP), and leading training workshops for Chairs and delegates. KUYFC brings mass mobilization and operational support: volunteer recruitment, on-ground logistics, outreach and social programming.
By pairing both bodies, KU-MUN ensures debates are academically strong while the event experience is organized, accessible, and well promoted.
Shared Responsibilities
- Academic content: KULPD drafts background guides, recommends scoring rubrics, and runs chair trainings.
- Volunteer & logistics: KUYFC recruits and trains volunteers, manages hospitality and social sessions.
- Outreach & PR: KUYFC coordinates promotion; KULPD supports academic publicity.
- Operational coordination: Both teams ensure registration, AV, and scheduling are synchronized.
